Lawton Unrau brings over 35 years of business experience to his role as President of Ellianos Coffee. With a foundational expertise in problem solving and business strategy, Lawton has successfully owned and operated multiple businesses, including commercial cleaning, landscape contracting, and a retail pool and spa store.

Lawton’s journey in education and leadership is highlighted by his tenure as CEO of Belmont Academy Charter School, where he served for over eight years. During this time, he played a pivotal role in the development, growth, and leadership of the high-performing school in Columbia County, Florida.

Lawton is a proud alumnus of the University of South Dakota, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and a Minor in Business Administration.

A resident of Columbia County for over 35 years, Lawton values family time. He is happily married and enjoys spending quality time with his three children and five grandchildren. In his professional life, he emphasizes creating a work environment that fosters respect and professionalism. Lawton’s personal mission is driven by core values of honesty, integrity, and loyalty.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Lawton enjoys a variety of hobbies, including music, golf, soccer, photography, watching the Kansas City Chiefs, and volunteering to support students. A newfound passion for kittens and cats, inspired by his grandson, adds a unique dimension to his interests.
