will be hosting Business After Hours this Thursday night, September 24th. Business After Hours is a Chamber of Commerce sponsored social event that is held monthly in our community. This particular BAH social will be focused on building awareness for the upcoming NAMIWalk to be held at Waycross College. We will have silent auction items, raffle tickets & door prizes with all proceeds going to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and fun food for all!! Please join us at the Lott-Hitch Event Facility in downtown Waycross from 5-7pm.

 Ellianos-Waycross Baristas would like to extend a huge thanks to everyone that has helped them raise money and awareness for the upcoming NAMIWalk, in support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. Our team fundraising goal is set at $1200, and as far as we know, we are close to $850 with the walk only 2 weeks away. This is a cause that we all feel passionate about. We encourage everyone to find an organization that they feel passionate about and follow our lead!!

Ellianos Supports NAMI Walks again in 2009!! The Baristas at Ellianos Coffee Co in Waycross have formed a team to walk in the 2009 NAMIWalk taking place at Waycross College on October 3rd. Ellianos Waycross Walkers have several fund raisers planned, including the weekly winner drawings! Check this website for winning ticket numbers each week to see if you have won the $10 Ellianos Gift Card. Also, plan to join us on September 12th for a car wash to support NAMI.  Congrats to our 5th Grade Authors!! Ellianos-Waycross recently sponsored a writing contest for 5th grade students in the Ware County School System. The theme for the essay contest was "My Dinosaur Life: A Story of how Life would be if Dinosaurs still Walked the Earth". Of the participating schools, nine students' essays were choosen. The winning authors were each awarded a ticket for themselves and a parent to see "Walking with Dinosaurs: the Live Experience". Kristy King, Waycross franchisee, Jenny Barnes, gifted teacher at Williams Heights, and a few other adults accompanied the winners on a bus ride to the show. (full press release to be added) Congratulations go out to the winners: Jackson Snow, Lexi Price, Dawson Roundtree, Kara Mercer, Ashley Smith, Zoie Barnhill, Holly Cribb, Joey Timmons, and Joseph Allen. Keep up the good work!!

Invite Ellianos to Parties at the Office- Call Ellianos-Waycross to order a box of smooth, rich coffee and a bag of muffins for your next meeting or office party. Students "Learn & Earn" on Fridays in Waycross- Every student from the Ware County School System that comes to Ellianos in Waycross on Fridays will receive a 10% discount on their drink by correctly telling our Baristas the "Character Word of the Week".

Ellianos Supports NAMI- Baristas at Ellianos Waycross recently participated in a fund/awareness raising walk-a-thon for the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Ellianos Baristas joined the Leadership Waycross team's efforts. The Leadership Waycross Team raised over $1500 total for the organization. "Great Job"!!  The collected will help fund a local NAMI office and will be used to support and educate those affected by mental illness and their families. "Be Cool Back at School Contest 2008"- Congratulations to Jonathan and Brittany!! These two students each won a brand new backpack full of School Supplies and Ellianos Goodies!! Both students were nominated by their teachers as "very deserving children".
